TRONCONES

Located at the base of Sierra Madre where the jungle meets the sea, Troncones and the outlying areas have much to offer, being one of the favorite tourist destinations in Mexico for people who want to enjoy a cool and relaxed atmosphere.  Great surf spots abound, while hikers and mountain bike enthusiasts will find trails for all abilities. The beaches offer long stretches for walking and taking in the natural sights. If your interests are caving, deep-sea fishing, or horseback riding, all are available.
 
The sandy beach dotted with a rocky coastline and abundance of green form a beautiful landscape. Nearby, Manzanillo Bay and Majahua beach are special places to swim, as several natural swimming pools have been formed, perfect for a refreshing dip. This small village is home to families who enjoy the natural life of fishing and farming, and a growing number of visitors from all over the world who enjoy the tranquility and charm of this Mexican jewel.
 
The closest airport is Zhuatanejo International Airport located about forty minutes south.  Rental cars are available there, as well as taxis. Once in Troncones, the local taxis are convenient for getting you around town and to other destinations.
